MRKT Technologies Inc. (“MRKT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website www.mrktedge.ai and related applications, dashboards, and services (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how and why we use it, with whom we share it, how we protect it, and the choices and rights you have. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Disclaimer. MRKT is the controller responsible for your personal information.
Information you provide. Account details such as your name and email address; profile and preference settings; content you submit (such as watchlists, research notes, and support messages); and communications with us.
Payment information. When you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited billing information (such as the card brand, the last four digits, expiry, billing country, and transaction status) and a non-reversible reference used to prevent abuse of trials and offers.
Information collected automatically. Usage and device data such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, operating system, pages and features viewed, clicks and interactions, referring/exit pages, session duration, timestamps, and similar diagnostic and analytics data, including identifiers stored through cookies and similar technologies.
Information from third parties. Authentication and login information from our identity provider; limited information from analytics, advertising, and referral partners; and information from fraud-prevention and trial-abuse signals (such as email-domain validation and device/network signals).
We use personal information to: (a) provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account; (b) authenticate you and secure accounts (including enforcing single-session and anti-sharing controls); (c) process payments, manage subscriptions and trials, and prevent duplicate, fraudulent, or abusive sign-ups; (d) personalize and improve the Service and develop new features; (e) provide customer support; (f) communicate with you about the Service, including transactional messages and, where permitted, marketing; (g) measure usage and analyze trends; and (h) comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service and process your subscription); legitimate interests (to secure, analyze, and improve the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and conduct direct marketing where permitted); consent (for certain cookies, analytics, and marketing, which you may withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (to meet our legal and regulatory duties).
The Service uses third-party AI providers to generate summaries and analysis. The inputs to these features are generally market information (including publicly available and licensed third-party data) rather than your personal information. Where any content you submit is processed by an AI provider to deliver a feature you request, we share only what is necessary, and our providers are contractually restricted in how they may use it. AI output is informational only and may be inaccurate — see our Disclaimer.
MRKT Connect lets you link your MRKT account to a third-party AI assistant, such as Claude, so that it can answer your questions using MRKT data. Connecting is entirely optional and is never enabled by default — it happens only when you add MRKT in that assistant, sign in to MRKT, and approve the connection on a screen that names the application requesting access and the destination your data would be sent to.
What is sent, and to whom. When you ask a connected assistant a question that uses MRKT, we return only the MRKT data needed to answer it — the same data your subscription already entitles you to, which may include content you have saved with us, such as your watchlist. That data is sent to the provider of the assistant you connected (for example, Anthropic in the case of Claude), who handles it as an independent controller under their own terms and privacy policy, not as our processor. We are not able to control or delete data once it has been received by that provider, and you should review their privacy policy before connecting.
What we receive and record. We receive the individual requests the assistant makes on your behalf. We do not receive your wider conversation with the assistant, and we do not collect its other contents. For each request we record your account identifier and email, which MRKT feature was used, when, whether it succeeded, how long it took, and the identifier the assistant reports for itself. We do not store the contents of those requests. We also record the network address a connection request originates from. We use these records to operate and secure the connection, to apply fair-use limits, to support you, and to understand which features are used.
What a connected assistant can do. Access is read-only: a connected assistant can read MRKT data on your behalf and cannot change your account, your saved content, your subscription, or anything else. It never receives your MRKT password, and it never receives credentials that work anywhere other than MRKT Connect.
Storage and retention. A connection is stored until it is ended, and holds the credentials that let us act on your behalf in encrypted form. Short-lived records created while you are signing in expire automatically within minutes. Usage records are retained in line with section 8 below.
Ending a connection. You can disconnect at any time by removing MRKT in the assistant, which revokes access on our side at the same time, or by contacting us at support@mrktedge.ai. Revocation takes effect immediately, and no further data can be read after it.
We use strictly necessary, preference, security, and analytics cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) to keep you signed in, remember settings, secure the Service, and understand usage. You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings or any cookie controls we provide; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information with service providers (processors) that perform functions on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect it, including:
We may also disclose information: to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests; to enforce our agreements and protect the rights, safety, and security of MRKT, our users, and others; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy. This list of providers may change as we add or replace services.
MRKT is based in Canada, and we and our service providers may store and process your information in Canada, the United States, and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we use appropriate safeguards required by law (for example, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent mechanisms) and take steps to ensure your information remains protected.
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with our legal, accounting, and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose; when information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Limited fraud- and abuse-prevention signals may be retained longer to protect our offers and users.
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reliance on reputable processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

You can exercise these rights, or opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us at support@mrktedge.ai. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted.
The Service is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us.
The Service may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a new “Last updated” date and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
